Poorly written, poorly argued, and shockingly (or, at this point, not really that shockingly) devoid of empathy for women.
To those who pooh-pooh this as evidence of nothing more than how out of touch Catholic bishops are, let me ask you this: How would you feel if, say, a President Rick Santorum required all employers to cover psychiatric treatment to “cure” people of homosexuality? I think you would join me in condemning this as ridiculous. You would feel quite angry at having to pay for something that is an affront to your beliefs.

I’m tired of men telling me why it’s good for religion to fight against coverage for birth control. I’m tired of them pandering superficially (and never when it counts) to the gay community to make a point. I’m religious. I’m bisexual. I’m not impressed.
I do not see how providing preventative health care to women threatens your, my, or anyone’s relationship with God. Don’t tell me this is about freedom. I suspect you do not know what it’s like not to be free.
